Surgical Dermatology
Specialist surgical procedures for the diagnosis and treatment of skin conditions, performed with a precise and evidence-based approach.
What is Surgical Dermatology?
Surgical dermatology involves targeted procedures used to diagnose and treat a range of skin conditions, including skin cancers, cysts, and other lesions.
At Cygnet Dermatology, procedures are performed with a strong focus on clinical accuracy, appropriate technique, and optimal healing outcomes.
Each treatment is guided by careful assessment and diagnosis, ensuring that management is appropriate, necessary, and aligned with best-practice dermatology care.
What This Service Includes
Skin Cancer Excision
Removal of confirmed or suspected skin cancers using appropriate surgical margins. All specimens are sent for histopathological analysis to ensure complete removal and guide further care if required.

This may include:
- Changing or atypical moles
- Symptomatic lesions (bleeding, irritation)

Surgical removal of epidermoid and other benign cysts.
Care is taken to remove the entire cyst wall to minimise recurrence.
